The Independent Commission for Human Rights Calls on the President to Intervene in Person to Solve the Teachers’ Crisis

Ramallah\ ICHR "Ombudsman" addressed today His Excellency, the President of the State of Palestine, to intervene in person to solve teachers' crisis.

The letter, it sent to His Excellency, explains that the impacts of this crisis would affect the Palestinian society as a whole, and its continuation would further complicate the situation and result in pernicious and difficult-to-handle repercussions.

ICHR's Board of Commissioners also demanded from the President to order the security services to stop the measures they take in dealing with the teachers' strike because they impede association activism and restrict citizens' right to expression of opinion and peaceful assembly.
